Evening Celebration of Local Foods

Thank you to Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital for sponsoring the Evening Celebration of Local Foods!

The Rural Health Network of SCNY is thrilled that so many partners and community members were able to join us on Tuesday, October 16th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm for the  local food-tasting celebration in the Binghamton Riverwalk Ballroom. Guests enjoyed a bounty of delicious appetizers, entrees, and desserts - all made with food grown and produced in the region and prepared by some of the area's finest chefs. Samples from New York State orchards as well as beverages from New York State wineries and breweries were also featured for sampling.

Thank you to the talented chefs and restaurants who shared their passion for food and donated their time and culinary expertise - and to the farms and food and beverage businesses that donated or provided product at discounted rates.

Without their support, the Evening Celebration of Local Foods would not be possible.  Please take the time to patronize the restaurants, farms, and food and beverage businesses that have made this event successful (contact information can be found below), or support comparable businesses in your community that are committed to the growth of your local food system. Supporting your local food system is a personal investment in your community's farms, food, and health.
